“Why don’t you shut up already? It’s over and done with,” I interrupted, cutting her off. “It’s in the past. None of it matters now! You cheated on him and slept with his friend for money while you were married to Carter. It’s horrible, but you need to get over it. I got over my ex after Carter came into my life and made me happy. You can move on, too.”
I showed her that my hands were free, and then said, “On behalf of The Killer Contract Agency, I sentence you to die by my hands since you were giving the Malians inside information.”
Her eyes flared. “You can’t take me on alone. You will die.”
“Bring it, bitch. Do your worst.”
She ran toward me with her vampire speed, but I dodged out of the way and hit the vampire power button so that we could be evenly matched. Suddenly, my senses were heightened; I could feel her before I saw her. She swung her fist at me, but I grabbed it and pulled it back. She used the leverage to lift me off my feet and throw me into the wall. I got up, not even winded, and charged at her. I tried to kick her, but she grabbed my foot and I fell to the floor. She dragged me across the floor, but I quickly used the Bracelet to get my sword and it suddenly materialized in my hand. I quickly chopped off her hand that held my foot, and I got up off the floor.
She yelled out in pain as she looked down at her hand. “I underestimated you. You’re more powerful than I imagined. No one has ever been able to use the vampire power option before.”
An evil smile curled my lips. “I’m not like the rest, and for your crimes, you deserve to die.”
